i gave a talk at santa rosa and the city college in san francisco was largely a product of the pwa and has wonderful art work all over it by the art in action project at the treasure island fair. and then there's these special schools for crippled children. this is in the mission district and it's a beautiful school with all the features we take for granted because of the americans with disabilities act. it has wonderful tiles. this was not accidental. this is the sunshine school. we made the school as beautiful as possible to take the children's minds off their problems. it was also crippled children. this might sound familiar to you if you know the history of president roosevelt. he was paralyzed by polio on the threshold of a promising career. he came back and few americans knew how disabled he was. he learned compassion. he learned he could help other people of different races that he never met before. this is what we used his inheritance for. this lead to the polio vaccine. this is one person who reveres him. suzie. she was born with clubbed feet. it's now for spinal diseases. the

you can see the low clouds and the fog painting an interesting picture. 38 in santa rosa. a little fog in the north bay. low 40s out by the delta. we are looking at mid40s from concord to livermore. san jose, nice start to the day. temperatures will be into the 60s for highs today. out of the 70s for many. the cooling trend for the entire weekend, the gusty winds with a wind advisory for the higher elevations tonight. and then we are look at a chance of rain on thursday. a pattern change that really could open the storm door and bring in self-wet weather makers beyond next week. so that's good news. we are at least an inch behind in rainfall for san francisco for this time. today with the gusty winds we will be looking at the winds up to 45 miles an hour. this is tonight, 11:00 through 7:00 tomorrow. for the north bay mountains and the east bay hills nchts the diablo range and then by tomorrow the winds will be easing back, but it will still be breezy of the so it has been dry and mild due to high pressure, but that is drifting off to the east of us. it will allow the low
